ARGH + non-spoilery thoughts on CotBS
Ferguson, you fucking hypocrite.
We have to get our game together this summer. This match was so loose. No dodgy decisions, just plain bad football. It will take something big to stop me from drinking copiously to put this behind me. It's like, in the first half Ramires was all "PL title? What PL title?" Then everyone else said, "ohhh, THAT title." lsakdjf;l. No singing in the park for me.
Two months prior, we'd been so far back, eighteen points away. We moved so quickly to the front, it's unbelievable, only to lose it all in one shite performance at Old Trafford.(Not that I'm excusing a total lack of effort over the winter months, but really? Really? No reason to not give it all this match. Which didn't happen. So, guess we're fighting for second, but where the hell is my beer?)
edit: Calmed down and thought about it. urgh. As much as it hurts. We need feel fortunate if we get second. There's always next year. ktbffh.
I'm not disappointed with the last installment of DW, though. It was a nice nod at old form, and with a happy-ish ending to boot. Though I can't help but wonder if they decided to do a pirate story after imbibing questionable substances.

"I'm so bloody stoned. What would be great?"
"A pirate story. We obviously need more pirates."
"Pirates? But we've already got the Silents arc. How are we going to fit in pirates?"
"I have this great idea. Oi, don't bogart. We make the pirates [whisper-whisper] and then they [whisper-whisper] and the TARDIS [whisper-whisper] a huge ****ing spacecraft."
"Stephen, that's brilliant! Mate, hand me that glass; I'm parched."
Of course that's all speculation. ;P
