World building is hard, man, or maybe I just ask 'Why?' too often and get stuck in a loop of how to make things work in my imaginary world and so I delay a little longer the anticipated failure of writing original fiction

Interesting thoughts... I understand your feelings. When the first 'war' broke out in the Middle East and US in 1991 (I think?) I was very nervous because I'd experienced warfare in countries close to me when I lived in Europe and had seen the damage from World Wars over there.

There's no rhyme or reason to why people feel the need to destroy others; hopefully future generations will be more peaceful towards each other.

We can hope that there will be peace, if not in our time, at some future time, right? yeah, well, hope is a good thing, I think.
