The party
Oh! I forgot about our Christmas party on Christmas Eve Eve.
We had the whole gang over for snacks and drinks. I decided to hang a white sheet from the wall and even though it was a terrible backdrop, everyone still posed in front of it like the crazy people we are.
Todd was supposed to bring santa hats so we could sit on Brian's lap and take photos with the "jihad santa" (blah blah blah dis-tasteful joke... whatever, it's funny. Have you SEEN his beard? There's no way we're getting on that plane in the spring to go to Vegas without a "random" screening.) Anyhow, Todd forgot the hat. So we just did this.
I think this is more of a "omg look how gorgeous my friends are" post lol.
Other than that, I am BEYOND excited... I ordered my airbrush Sunday night. I read, read and re-read all the reviews on Amazon over and over and over. This kit was one of the least expensive and one of the best rated. It got better reviews than the more expensive beginner models, so I bit the bullet and ordered it. With TONS of Americolors!!!
It came with the four primary colors, but I've heard such amazing things about Americolors that I decided to spend the money while I have it. I bought the entire metallic and pearl collection (12 bottles). And a student starter kit (Also 12 colors)... So I will have a total of 28 bottles of some of the best food colors available! Craziness.
Also, right now Hobby Lobby has all Wilton products 30% off. I got a ton of frosting tips, a set of paint brushes (sometimes I hand paint on my cakes), a cookie cutter that looks like a tiered cake and two sets of fondant cutters all for $20 shipped.
In case you weren't sure... I am totally pumped to make some cakes in 2011!! haha
In other news my ENTIRE body is sore from playing Wii. I ordered a second remote and nunchuck in hot pink and a game called Cook Wars from Ebay. My mailbox is going to explode lol.
I am IN LOVE with Wii boxing and shockingly with Wii golf. I thought I'd dislike the golf, but I'm actually really good at it. I'm excellent at the bowling as well. I'm TERRIBLE at the baseball. Like... beyond terrible. And practicing doesn't seem to be improving my skills. I strike out every single time. Oh well. I made all of my friends into Mii characters so I can play baseball with them lol.
I'm spending the last dime I have tomorrow on getting my elbow tattooed. I can't wait to see Kevin. This will be the first time he's tattooed me at this shop. I was about to say it will be my first time getting tattooed at that shop, but my first tattoo I ever got done was done there. The guy who actually owns the place STARTED my first tattoo there in January of 2002. I couldn't afford him finishing it because I was a broke ass kid, but my friend finished it for me. Oops. I always felt awful about it and avoided him like the plague for years. Now he's one of the most successful tattoo artist in the tri-state area and I see him all the time and he has no idea he's ever even tattooed me lol. He takes guitar lessons and his son takes piano lessons at my work. He does so many tattoos that he barely remembers who he tattooed last week, let alone 9 years ago. I might even bring it up some day just to see if we can have a laugh about it. Because I literally used to see him out places and HIDE from him for like 3 years because I didn't want him to see that someone else finished the tattoo he started on me.
In any case, I'm getting a horseshoe on my elbow tomorrow. It's going to say "Denver Mint" somewhere... which, well, 1 million internets/cookies/etc. for whoever knows what that's a reference to. If we share musical tastes, chances are it's fairly obvious.
NYE party at my place in... what... less than a week? Where has the time gone? I've been LJing it up since 2001. :)
My Christmas gift from mother nature was a few days late and I thought maybe it was a Christmas miracle, but no such luck lol. 3 days late and it always happens RIGHT after I take the damn pregnancy test. I take the test, it says nope and then a few hours later my period is like "Oh HAI LULZ I just wanted U to waste your moneys on that test!"
