Finally, at 18391021 weeks post Head Cold of Doom, I'm back to running regularly three times a week, and I'm kinda proud of myself that I manage to drag myself out even when the sun is beating down and it's getting uncomfortably warm (which, in my case, means everything upwards of 23°C. I'm a wimp concerning heat, sue me).

First off: Mom and I have been back in Berlin since Friday night, while Dad had to stay behind in the hospital. Apparently, he's been steadily getting better since the antibiotics kicked fully in and there's talk of him coming home tomorrow or Thursday. I know I said I'll be off the internet for two weeks but my uncle arrive here and graciously let me into his mobile wi fi. The reason why we're still here instead of being at the other uncle's house is the reason why I will never complain about a boring life, ever again: Dad's in the hospital.

Didn't go to fencing today (since I'm on sick leave and didn't think it was a good idea. Also, it's 58520525 degrees outside and it usually gets about 50°C inside the fencing suit, not kidding here) but finally got my ass up and did something for my Masters application. Remember that sore throat I mentioned when I said I'm back in Germany? It turned out to be tonsilitis. One that sent me to the ER on Sunday (I was a walk in, don't worry) and got me some pretty heavy antibiotics that apparently weren't only heavy on the tonsilitis but also on me (I never reacted to antibiotics like this before, I swear), made me ( Read more... )
