I finally went running again \o/ Far as I could see, I was symptom free of The Great Super Head Cold of 2018 by Thursday or Friday, and I was heartily sick of sitting around all day (I'm currently literally sitting around on my ass all day because I'm in an online culture management classfor the next five weeks. The class is pretty nice but it took only a week to confirm my suspicion: completely working from home is so not my thing. One day of home office a week would be awesome. Exclusively working from home? Definitely not) so I decided to fuck it and get back to running this week. Pulling myself up after six hours of class was hard (especially considering that the entire day was grey and overcast. Funny enough, it cleared up exactly when I decided to just get on with it) but yeah, I did it.
Running itself was very, very slow. And I mean very slow (as in "slower than if I'd gone on a speedy walk") but at least I ran the entire thirty minutes. I'd originally planned to run for maybe fifteen minutes, walk for five minutes, then run for another ten minutes. But running that slow felt good enough that I just kept plowing on. When the thirty minutes were up, I felt okay but paranoid me of course is now worried if going from seven weeks of zero to thirty (very, very, very slow) minutes was really the best idea
Wish me luck that paranoid me is really just being paranoid...
Other than that, the reading challenge is coming along scarily well and thanks to a couple rather short contemporary romance novels, I'm ahead of schedule. Let's see how long that'll last. As for the rest of the 2018 goals... let's just say they'll probably take a lot more work than I'm currently giving them. I'm working on it, though, I promise.
