Today seems to be the day for seeing odd goings on, starting this morning when I was walking to work and a woman outside the Old Bailey was being confronted by police - seemed that she was either under the influence or had some mental health problem, as she kept yelling stuff about St. Albans. Then, on the evening commute, I saw this man - I mean, when people start going shirtless in winter, it's very attention-catching. I couldn't figure out if he was homeless, as he didn't look like a typical tramp, but he kept rummaging around in what looked like a bin bag.
This morning was spent doing very wet survey work in the rain, using an app. Misheard what a man was shouting at me at one point, thought he was accusing me of videoing him as I had my phone out; I thought things were getting confrontational - turned out he thought I was the person he was waiting for. I seemed to keep bumping into the same bunch of kids at Leadenhall Market, and also saw this impressive shop, which I think is really vacant, but doesn't look it at first.
After the incident with the man, I've been trying to listen carefully to what people are telling me. I paid attention well to the course I did this afternoon, all about improving document accessibility, by improving colours, making sure headings and tables are clear, and using alternative text with images. I've done similar courses before, but it was useful to get a refresher.
