I have food poisoning. Just about everything is beyond my ability at the moment. I love this episode. I'll definitely watch and comment on it eventually, but probably not tonight.

Excellent Noah observation. But I think he got a huge check from Angela last season. Assuming the government never froze his funds, or maybe unfroze them, that may be what's he's living on.

I was wondering about where Noah got all that info from too... This season is lousy with unanswered questions, like Lydia's power. How does she project images without Samual's ink? And if she can always do that, then why does he need to inject her with ink? Or does it stay in her skin for later use? Then why do we see him injecting her all the time? Is it supposed to be some sexual metaphor? UGh!

Yes to Rene! If the writers were going to take us back to this Rene that just pops in whenever anyone needs a power blocked, then why bother to take us to Haiti and meet his brother? That just seems so random now. Actually, it did at the time too.

Ew! And good point about how she managed it without his ink.

Eh, maybe Rene is spending most of his time in Haiti, trying to improve stuff. Like volunteering with the Red Cross or something?

I don't get why Lydia admits it either. It makes no sense. Well, wait ... I suppose as a mother ... if I felt trapped in a carnival with Samuel ... but why is she trapped? Okay, so let's imagine that someone else in the carnival who is personally quite loyal to Samuel has an ability to provide lots of information on someone. Kind of like Molly, except with backstory. And that's where Samuel's been getting most of his info. If Sammie had someone like that in his pocket, then maybe Lydia would feel that she really couldn't get away, because we know Samuel can mysteriously teleport to anywhere and anywhen he wants to and that he's not above murder, kidnapping, or mayhem. We also know (from the graphic novels) that Samuel and Joseph both strongly resisted any form of advanced technology. Given their transient nature, I think it's safe to say they don't use banks or modern monetary institutions much. Sure they take in cash, but I doubt any particular carny has enough money to make it on their own. More likely, as the owners and name- ( ... )

Sam, I think you're preaching to the wrong crowd a little more than usual. I don't think Eli cares...Or understands. Yeah, see? And for Sam to wonder about being the last generation when his master(pointless)plan is killing thousands of people...um...what?

I love the voice/slurring of Eli's when he's cloned. My goodness those pants are tight, Eli...

Noah Bennet, Man With A Plan...still needs sticky notes...

I remember nearly losing my lunch at Noah/Lauren flirting. Ugh.

I always liked that Noah was finally RIGHT abotu something...I give myself hives that Claire is, whaddya know, still WRONG about everything. Miss Normal Life doesn't want to have one, clearly, because she won't give Daddy a chance.

That is a pretty cool GF, but...she's got starry-eyed problems for Noah. That's not good.

Was it just me, or did Eli come off almost mentally retarded when talking to Samuel?

I loved seeing Noah actually write on a sticky note!

I am trying to ignore Claire and her wrongness this ep.

It was not just you. Eli's clones slur and lack a certain mental vivacity (which I think is a cool touch, if perhaps too subtle).

Really? The sticky note is for the audience's benefit (a clear, legit indicator if rather dumb, few and far between those indicators for viewers are) - Bennet didn't actually need that because we've seen him formulate way bigger plans way faster. It's kind of an insult to his intelligence, but he wants Lauren to see his handy-work or handwriting or something, in plain English.

Too bad she regenerates, that's all I'm saying...;)

I think he's implying that they're the last generation of specials, which is an asinine conclusion to reach. On the other hand, Samuel is an asinine character, so maybe it fits.

"Always said I belonged in a freak show, just never took it so literally" -- BS. BS. BS. BS.

Claire's outfit is particularly frumpy all of a sudden.

Watch her try to back out of her brilliant, brilliant plan...Yup! I'm shocked, truly. We already talked about "psycho Becky" BEFORE we left for this hare-brained roadtrip!

Whine whine whine...Someone please spank me and make me resonsible...

Omg, is Samuel's speech sincere? HIs voice is even different as is his body language. Facinating. I wish we'd seen more of that.

"Stay until you finish the box" -- ::chuckles:: That would take me all of five minutes and I hate eating and walking so I'd be sitting the whole time!

Now we enter the lesbian threesome scene. Neat.

I know! Which makes this scene especially suck. Now, I can imagine a situation where after 21 hours of road tripping with Claire and potentially having fun, fulfilling, bonding conversations, that Gretchen has changed her mind on a lot of things. But if that's the case, it's the show's job to indicate that somehow. The default assumption is that nothing of plot importance happens off screen. Which means, you know, all those plot-important-things? Yeah? They need to be happening ON screen!

Yes! Then one 5-second scene of difference - that totally changes the plot and character arc - is in the RECAP?! I need that in the EPISODE! Hello, right?

"They've gone the way of Lyle."

And Micah...And Molly...Jeremy's dead (poor sweetheart)...and Luke...Did I miss anymore kids? West is...somewhere (NYU if you follow canon). Zach is God-knows-where...Okay, Kring just hates kids and parents, it's official.

And I used to think that, too, about Sylar's motives for showing up at Mercy. However it never quite clicked for me (it was my assumption). I had to rewatch it for some quote for MBU and noticed a LOT of things different when I was looking for Nathan-specific things (again, I don't have a great Peter or Nathan muse, but I can tell when something's OOC for them). Sylar does a lot of pausing, looking around/away and a WHOLE lot of Sylar-playing-Nathan indicators that are, apparently, suddenly clear as day to me and I enjoy reading body language. I have since adopted GB's theory as that fits better for me (at least as far as MBU/my Sylar goes).

Emma's nephew Christopher (of whom we see a still photograph and get told about his death).

Kelly Houston

Wait! There's little Matty! He never suffers. Amazing!
