I generally use a backpack when riding, but it can be a PITA to get on/off as the shoulder pads always seem to get in the way, even when I loosen the straps.  I've been wondering if a messenger bag which I can sling over a shoulder might be better, but my concern there is the bag will want to rotate wround to my side and interfere with handling.  ( Read more... )

I've been thinking about getting a camera I can mount to my helmet when I ride to function something along the line of a black box.  Does anyone have any experience with the ContourROAM line of cameras?

I was on my SV650 the other week, returning from a trip to see friends somewhat late at night.  I'm just a few miles from home when there's a flash of feathers in front of my visor.  All I could register was a panel of brown and tan feathers, so close I can see the detail in the feather pattern, and then in an instant it was gone.

A few weeks ago I set about replacing the brake lines on my Suzuki SV650S with Galfer stainless steel lines.  I ordered front and rear sets from Galfer, and they took about a week to arrive.
