Well here's a quick review of my excitement this weekend.
I woke up a little earlier then normal on Saturday and headed down to work. It seems that I'm the only one smart enough to have figured out the intricacies of our trailer mounted digital message board.
So a few key strokes later the board has been reprogrammed as per the town managers orders, and I'm on my way to meet up with some of my current and former co-workers. Once we have all gathered we saddle up and head out on today's mission, to help support the families of two fallen officers.

The actual organized ride was just over 70 miles, and thanks to the provided police escort the only time we ever stopped was to allow an ambulance and mini pumper responding to an emergency call to cross our ride route.
The most memorable event of the ride, came when we saw a line of motorcycles with police escort on the same road heading in the opposite direction. I asked myself what's the chance of there being two escorted rides on the same road at the same time? The answer? The ride leader should be intimately knowledgeable about the ride route, that way they don't miss a turn *face paws*.
All in all it was a great ride, through some beautiful scenery and we raised some money for a great cause.
Don't let the news video fool you, about 1/3 of the bikes were sport bikes or sport touring bikes. Not the group of Harley's that the camera focused on.
And now for my rant, most of these riders were or are law enforcement officers or fire/EMS personnel. Having seen the what they have seen during their careers, why the hell did more then half of them not wear helmets and why the hell was I the only guy wearing all the gear?
Stay Safe and keep'em shiny side up
