So much tennis and boy love, and a rec you cannot pass up
In honour of the fact that Novak Djokovic is the 2011 Wimbledon Men's Champion, I am posting a tennis RPF fic rec. I always read a lot of tennis fic this time of year, thanks to Wimbledon. It really gives me an appetite for it. And it was a good final today. Djokovic played the game of his life, he was astonishing. Nadal just wasn't as good as usual, I was surprised at how loose his game was, at how many shots he missed. He wasn't himself at all. For Djokovic, it is the fairytale ending for his tennis year - he's only been beaten once since the start of this year (and that was a loss to Federer, not an embarrassment at all) and this is his first Wimbledon win, the fulfilment of a lifelong dream, and he's also now seeded number one in the world. Well done, Novak, I'm so unbelievably thrilled for you. I shouted and cheered at the TV and loved you all the more for your adorkable self, as you tasted the centre court grass and hugged that trophy :)

It's legal in Canada! Novak convinces Rafa to play doubles with him at the 2014 Rogers Cup in Toronto
So this is a future fic, established relationship, and very fluffy and so very funny. I love the Rafa and Novak voices, how their relationship is delightfully painted. Also it's portrayal of the life of a tennis player seems very real, I can imagine it being that way. There's fantastic Andy & Jamie Murray cameos, Novak trying to convince everybody that he's not crying wolf, and a wonderfully touching declaration of love. It's just fun through and through, and lovely and squishy in its heart and I cannot recommend it enough. You won't regret reading it all, even if you don't follow tennis. The boys will win you over.
