The perfect way to say goodbye to an old friend

This month's Doctor Who Magazine, just released, is a tribute to Nicholas Courtney, the Brigadier, who died in February this year. I cannot urge you enough to buy it. It features all kinds of wonderful tributes to Nick from people like Tom Baker, David Tennant, Katy Manning and so many others who worked with him on Doctor Who over the years. And there's a really great thorough look at his life, inside and outside of acting, which told me things I didn't know about him. This issue made me cry and made me smile and really moved me. A perfect tribute to the most redoubtable Brig, and the most gentle twinkly man, Nick Courtney. I wish I'd gotten to meet him, just once, to say thanks for being such an awesome presence, for being the Brig, and loving the fans like we loved him.



Also, whilst I'm in the mood, here's the most gorgeous Brigadier tribute music video, including dialogue from his Doctor Who episodes, that is a perfect farewell to the Doctor's oldest friend. You won't regret watching it:
