Somehow a spammer sent a message using my address and my Contact List. I don't know how it happened, or who to complain to. Grr.

My apologies to anyone who received the spam message.

PS: A somewhat silver lining...found out which entries of my Contact List were obsolete and cleaned them out. *shrug*

An LJ user comes on and comments on a post I made SIX MONTHS ago, and the comment is a "me too!" that also sounds very much like a sales pitch, with an embedded link. So I check the user out and see that 1) he's only used his identity one day; 2) all he does is comment on other people's posts; 3) hasn't filled out his userinfo page at all ( Read more... )

You'd think that Hallmark would go after those spammer crooks who use bogus e-card notification mailings to spread computer viruses.
