I zipped by another store - Labels for Less- on the way home from work.  They had lots of new stock in as well as some winter wear that had been seriously discounted (one rack had sweaters & sweatpants down to $4.99 each or 3/$10).  In addition to an armful of other bargains, I was also able to find some jeans for $25 that fit me perfectly.  This ( Read more... )

I think I am finally over my cold .  I was sick as a dog on my scheduled day off, and barely left my bed all day.  I was smart enough to call in sick the next day (also mostly spent in bed), but not smart enough to call in sick the day after that - after the fifth person told me I looked ike I was about to drop, I went home early and saw my doctor ( Read more... )

Monday my sweetie had a day off, so he picked me up right after work and we went to see "Flushed Away" at the cheap theatre.  It was very entertaining - I belly-laughed at several of the slug gags... at the very end of the credits there was also a line that read: "no slugs were a-salted during the making of this film"
