Last night's episode was pretty neat, so I thought I should write a word or two about it. And if I'm writing anyway I can spare some time and ink (that expression just doesen't work when you are typing on a keyboard, does it? Sigh. I thought so.) for the previous episodes too. Let's proceed in a nice backwardly fashion.

I love Leverage, but I've been putting off any kind of reaction post to the last 3 episodes for a while now. They were not great at all. It was maybe the break with the uneven cut, but I didn't like this backhalf of the season as much as I hoped I would.

Loved John's "Here he goes again..."  look complete with eyerolling, followed by Helen's "Just humour him, it's easier." glance when Tesla got into his overdramatic mini-rant about how the three stooges get to see the awesomest city ever built instead of him. And he really does ( Read more... )

I wasn't gonna write about this episode, but what the hell, I'm bored. So, medicore at best, but I may have been lured into a false sense of awesomness by the previous two eps.

It simply had too many plotlines going for it:

That's three episodes in a row! Will the miracles never cease? No, seriously that has been the best episode of the season so far. I'm definitely watching next week.

I would so watch a spinoff focused on The Five set in Victorian times, both causing and preventing mayhem, just doing their thing. They are so much more awesome than the regular cast. ( Read more... )

That's what I'm talking about! Lock Helen up with an equally interesting foe then sit back and let it all play out. Amanda Tapping is great, I never truly realized that while I was watching Stargate but now it's clear to me. The B-plot held my attention way more than the main one, but I guess that's okay. I actually have a rather complicated relationship with the show - I may write about it someday - but my main problem is that I only like/care about some of the reccuring characters like Tesla or Druitt, but not the regulars.

 Wow, last week's Leverage was awesome or what? Favourite episode of the season so far. I wasn't familiar with the Rashomon concept and haven't seen any promos for the episode because I've just gotten back from London - which is a funny coincidence but more on that later - so I wasn't spoiled at all.
