In a continuation of a story I mentioned last year, the UBC TA union is currently on strike. I've been oddly unaffected by it, since I'm not actually a TA this semester. Last Friday was the JET summer conference, the last one of the JET year here. Those who are recontracting had to go for the whole day, but those of us going home only had to show up for the afternoon. *smug* N-san gave me a ride over and we spent several hours going over what to do before going home and how to get our pension refunds.
