Welly well….  It’s been a while AGAIN!

Can’t believe I’ve gone from being on LJ almost every day to a mere once every few weeks.  Oh well, I guess that’s what happens when RL gets too busy.

So it was a little chilly this morning, but Man oh Man was it ever pretty outside.  We got snow last night and it was the heavier sticky snow that tends to stick to the trees and stuff.  If you get too much of that stuff it'll cause some serious damage, but it sure does make everything pretty.

OMG...  the storm I said was coming our way yesterday never came....  but the frakker snuck up on us last night and this morning.

I don't think we're supposed to get a lot of accumulation but the wind is brutal out there.   The buses are cancelled and it's going to be a looong drive for my husband to get to work to day.

minus 30, I  believe.  My husband got in his car this morning and then called me from his cell to tell me that the console in the car said....  and I quote this.  "Console Too Cold, Please Wait"

Okay ladies

here's my newest update and two new photos.  to be honest, I don't think it 'looks' any better than it did on Monday  BUT  the base is a little thicker and that's what I'm working to build.  There are a few little weak spots, so this morning's project was to make a bucket of slush to 'patch' ( Read more... )

Okay so the last time I mentioned my ice rink I was in the mere 'planning' stages.  I believe I had mapped out a little square piece of the yard and had sprayed it over a few times to form a crust.  I didn't bother taking pictures up till now because, really, all it was was a square patch of snow surrounded by....  well....  more snow.

Well, last time I spoke of a skating rink we had a little patch of ice over behind the pool.  Alas, it got abnormally warm out and my little rink melted.  So, instead of brooding over it I decided to take this opportunity to build a new one, in a better spot.  Only problem was I needed snow to do it, and at the time it had all melted....  along ( Read more... )
