I am now working on the a thesis with Prof. Drakanov. Optimal control system for scramjet single-stage surface to orbit vehicle OR hypersonic trans-atmospheric vehicle.

I still need to talk to the chairman of the program... but after talking to a possible thesis advisor, there's a *chance* that I'll be able to work a thesis that solves Eistein equations with dark energy considerations to generate different cosmologies... if so that would be SO... FUCKING... AWESOME! :o

...while trying to explicitly solve for the theta component of the Schrodinger Equation in spherical coordinates using a series solution to set it up for a Legendre Polynomial.  I imagine that this is a right of passage of sorts for any physics student, since it is 4 pages of GAWD AWFUL ALGEBRA and it is painfully tedious.  And I got it right on ( Read more... )

We've all been there. Hours upon hours of pouring through equations, only to find one stupid arithmetic mistake that throws your answer for a loop. I'm definitely prone to those, especially at 12am and doing nothing but homework for the past 4 hours. Sometimes you just get frustrated! LOL ( Read more... )
