I just slogged through two hours of algebra...
...while trying to explicitly solve for the theta component of the Schrodinger Equation in spherical coordinates using a series solution to set it up for a Legendre Polynomial. I imagine that this is a right of passage of sorts for any physics student, since it is 4 pages of GAWD AWFUL ALGEBRA and it is painfully tedious. And I got it right on the first try! What do I have to say about that?
