If you are going to glaze a ham and bake it, it is best to be thawed first. Otherwise, as the ham thaws in the roaster, the liquid from the ham will cause all the glaze to run off, if you put the glaze on to start. But, here is what you can do. Start the roaster at it's highest temperature, put the hame it, on the rack, then a little water, maybe 1/2 cup in the bottom of roaster. Let it roast for a good hour, to get the ham thawing. While this is happening, mix your glaze. Then lower the temperature to about 325oF. Then every half hour after the first hour brush the glaze on the ham, until it is done. Here is the glaze recipe I created years ago, and use all the time.
Ham Glaze 1/2 to 1 cup three fruit marmalade 1/2 cup frozen orange juice concentrate 1 tbsp. brown sugar 1/2 tsp. allspice 1/2 tsp. ground cloves 1 tbsp. dry mustard powder Blend together well so mixture resembles thin paste. I will score the ham in a diamond pattern, and then add a whole clove at each juncture of the scoring. Then brush ham with glaze every half hour or more freqently, until ham is done. The slower the ham bakes the better.
