Just got back from a midnight showing of Transformers 2.  I'm not going to write a full review of it right now, since it's pretty late.  However, I will say that any problems you had with the amount of robots fighting in the previous movie has been addressed.  Also, the Optimus/Megatron fight is far less one-sided this time around.

When the live-action Transformers movie came two years ago, there was a subgroups in the ensuing toyline called Real Gear Robots.  The gimmick behind the line was that these robots turned into small mechanical devices, such as cell phones, binoculars or MP3 players.  In many ways it was a throwback to the Generation One-era, where you had ( Read more... )

I must say, the more and more I watch Transformers Animated the more I like it. Particularly since the show has managed to deliver on the producers promise that that they would measure the actual Decepticon's appearances in order to to give them more impact. So I just watched the first episode of the new Transformer series, and I have to say I walked away felling pretty good about the series. Some highlights include

I may have forgotten to mention it here, but I did see the Transformers movie. I actually got to see it the day before, somehow.
