1. What did you do in 2011 that you hadn’t done before?
Paid off my credit card!

2. Did anyone close to you give birth?

My sister had a beautiful baby boy in March.

3. Did anyone close to you die? 

No, thankfully.

4. Did you travel? Where did you go? Best holiday memory?
Brisbane at Easter, Port Macquarie in July and again in November, Adelaide in August. Highlights included catching up with everyone at my high school reunion, and the entire weekend in Adelaide.

5. Best thing you bought?
My Brooke and Ridge Bold and the Beautiful mug.

6. Where did most of your money go?
Into the bank. God I’m such an adult :|

7. What do you wish you had done more of? 

Seeing local bands. I really neglected the Melbourne music scene this year.

8. What do you wish you had done less of?
Eating my feelings.

9. What kept you sane?

TV. Spending time with my family.

10. What drove you mad?

Almost everything else.

11. What made you celebrate?

King Kenny coming back to Liverpool. Finding a Coke bottle with my name on it.

12. What made you sad?

Fernando Torres. Rafael Nadal’s year from hell. Collingwood losing the Grand Final. Ryan Dunn’s death :(

13. How was your birthday this year and how old did you turn?
No one at work knew it was my birthday, and I couldn’t be bothered telling them, so it was an uneventful day. Then went to Flipp and Caitlin’s, where Caitlin had cooked up an absolute feast. Got extremely high and ate home-made guacamole, burgers and lemon meringue pie. I turned 27.

14. What political issue stirred you the most this year?

The Occupy movement

15. Were you in love in 2011?
No.

16. What would you like to have in 2012 that you didn’t have this year?
Somebody to love haha. Also, a proper holiday.

17. What date(s) from 2011 will be etched in your memory and why?
None really. 11/11/11 just because it looked cool.

18. What song will remind you of 2011?

High For This - The Weeknd. Anything by the Vaudeville Smash.

19. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

My new year's resolution was to moisturise more - sometimes I kept it and sometimes I couldn’t be bothered. Next year? Not sure yet.

20. Did you suffer illness or injury?

Just the usual shitty hayfever woes.

21. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? Sadder
ii. thinner or fatter? Fatter

iii. richer or poorer? Richer

22. How will you be spending Christmas?
My sister and her family are staying with us over Christmas, but having Christmas lunch at her inlaws, so it will be a hectic morning (nephew’s first Christmas!!) but then will spend the rest of the day eating and doing not much else.

23. How many one-night stands?
One or two, but it was more just drunk fooling around with friends which doesn’t even count :p

24. What was your favourite TV program?
Friday Night Lights, Sons of Anarchy, Boardwalk Empire, Justified, Game of Thrones... I watched a lot of amazing TV this year.

25. What was the best book you read?
ASOIAF, even though the last 2 books were shit.

26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
The Weeknd.

27. What did you want and get?
To be debt-free.

28. What did you want and not get?
Better weather. Other things I can’t be bothered going into.

29. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2011?
Kmart/ASOS

30. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Francois Arnaud, Alain Macklovitch, the entire cast of Boardwalk Empire.

31. Biggest achievement this year?
Growing my hair out. Not killing anyone.

32. Biggest disappointment this year?
People being thoughtless, inconsiderate assholes. The work situation. Soul Punk and Watch The Throne.

33. What is the one thing that would have made you more satisfied?
Winning the lottery. Despite the fact I didn’t purchase a single ticket all year hahah.

34. Best new person you met this year?
My nephew! Crazy little cracker.

35. A valuable life lesson you learnt this year?

Don't back down. Also, A LOT can change in a year.
