Well it's that time of year isn't it. And because I'm in a reflective mood (also, avoiding work), here's my thoughts on the year just gone. 35 questions about life, love and everything in between. God I'm so full of shit.
1. What did you do in 2006 that you hadn’t done before?
Played competitive team sport. FOR FUN.
2. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Not yet. There's a couple due next year though...
3. Did anyone close to you die?
My Nana, but we hadn't been close for years.
4. Did you travel? Where did you go? Best holiday memory?
My year was severely lacking in holidays. I haven't been out of Melbourne since my big road trip with Lou in January. Krispy Kreme and the Dog on the Tuckerbox were the highlights of that trip OBV.
5. Best thing you bought?
New iPod? That was a necessity though. The year's purchases have all blended into one...
6. Where did most of your money go?
Clothes, CDs, DVDs. The usual, really.
7. What do you wish you had done more of?
Exercise.
8. What do you wish you had done less of?
Whingeing. Drinking.
9. What kept you sane?
Sunny days. Good music.
10. What drove you mad?
The usual things - people getting in my way on the footpath, crying children, children in general...
11. What made you celebrate?
The World Cup!! Collingwood when they were winning!! Melbourne Victory!!
12. What made you sad?
Nothing tangible...
13. How was your birthday this year?
Quite low key - work, then uni, then cake with the Hornitas.
14. What political issue stirred you the most this year?
Ted Baillieu in a Speedo.
15. Were you in love in 2006?
Nope. I spent most of the year in lust with one person or another, but no love.
16. What would you like to have in 2007 that you didn’t have this year?
Good health haha. Um, something likely? More motivation and job satisfaction.
17. What date from 2006 will be etched in your memory and why?
September 27 - Hard-Fi - gig of the year.
18. What song will remind you of 2006?
Anything by IAMX, or HIM, or Justin Timberlake.
19. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn't make any for this year surprisingly. But I will for next year!! Resolutions galore!!
20. Did you suffer illness or injury?
God, when didn't I?!? I feel like I spent the entire year in doctor's waiting rooms, or specialist's offices or hospital :/
21. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? It changes from day to day. About the same.
ii. thinner or fatter? Um...
iii. richer or poorer? Um...
22. How will you be spending Christmas?
Prawns, salads, champagne, picnic rug, Botanic Gardens, Mum and sis.
23. How many one-night stands?
None - it's not really my style.
24. What was your favourite TV program?
Supernatural. Entourage. Viva La Bam.
25. What was the best book you read?
LOL books...
26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
HIM!!! Oh God don't get me started.

Nothing major.

Um, let's just say it would have involved adultery......

Coping with weight gain?

Roddy Vargas.
31. Biggest achievement this year?
Not getting cirrhosis of the liver.

Uni. I had high hopes :(
