This year is an odd year, because the front runner is the front runner is the front runner. Across the board with critics a(nd I agree) - DDL is stunning, chill inducing at times. What to say? Three matches. I think that Kidman was overlooked this year mainly because the movie didn't (couldn't) resonate with audiences. Yes, it was flawed as a film but her performance was very raw in her controlled kind of way. Very, very damaged painful performance.
