Inara Serra loved listening to Kaylee Frye’s tuned hum. The girl had great vocal ability and seemed to enjoy sharing it with Inara.

Kaylee Frye and River Tam often decided that the way the captains and pilots of other ships became like stars for people. For them they each were like stars for the other woman. Neither really knew why they had become like stars but when they realised they had they were both pretty glad.
