Yesterday I got up feeling energetic, ready to whip my weight in wild cats...two- or three-day-old wild cats, maybe. After breakfast I made sure to do my 'get-ups,' where I get down on my mat, lie on my back, spread my arms out at shoulder height, then get back up again. This engages every part of my body.

At home I am still bogged down in income tax hell...and I haven't even started my own taxes yet. I spent a good part of today wrassling with Samantha's. We filed them this weekend, then turned up a brokerage statement we had omitted. They had to be amended. Now we have to send paper copies of both the original 1040 and the amended 1040 to the IRS, ( Read more... )

It's 9:30 p.m., and the temperature is 82F/28C. Those might be pleasant temperatures if it weren't so late and the humidity was less. I do appreciate air conditioning at the same time that I know that it must be bad for the environment ( Read more... )

Ah, it's been a busy week, what with two clients needing deliverables, Samantha being crazy-busy working full time and taking her last three final exams, needing to plan her (modest) graduation celebration, and getting ready to go away for two weeks one week from tomorrow.I have a hard time buying shoes.
