Today's highlight was a trip to the South Tower to retrieve a package from the Large Package room. Turned out to be stamps I ordered from USPS. I used up my whole stash of stamps on my holiday cards, then dug into my 66-cent stamps, thereby upping the USPS's profit by an additional 11 cents per card...or, more likely, reducing their loss on every ( Read more... )

Our Christmas tradition is to go to a movie with my daughter-in-law's family, then go out for Chinese: a very Jewish Christmas. We've done it now for years, surely: at least every year since John and Pam came home from living in Germany for three-and-a-half years. That would be 2013, if I recall correctly.
