"HI GRANDPA!"
...Was surprise grandchildren. Specifically the three girls grinning at him across the counter right now. Two were identical twin teen girls with white hair, the third a little girl about half their age and all three wore their mother's delighted grin.

And didn't stop until he had a stitch in his side and trouble catching his breath. Don't mind him, folks.

"Um," he managed. "H-hi girls."

For their part, the twins continued to look innocent, like they had no idea why their greeting could have possibly resulted in this kind of reaction. "You sure you don't need any help, Granddad?" the one of the left asked. "We're here if you need us, Granddad," supplied the one on the right.

"You have to be at least twenty-two." He bent down to pick her up and wondered if he was getting a glimpse of what Kathy must have looked like at her age. "I think you might need more than a nickname. You might need a superhero name."
Reply
"Absurd!" declared Eva. Probably.
"Oooh, I want a superhero name!" Carys said, giggling. "And I'm not twenty-two! That's old! I'm only seven!"
