So the Leverage crew didn't have any kids visiting this weekend. They had managed - somehow - to get a note through the portal, folded into the most intricate paper airplane Eliot had ever seen, assuring them that Spike and Ada were both just fine, but were simply far too busy to visit this year. Eliot had decided that the island was taking it easy on him, seeing as he'd managed to adopt himself a 19 year old daughter only a few weeks before.
Just because he didn't have his own visiting yougin's didn't mean he wasn't making sure he had his diner open for last-day-brunch for everyone else's, though. It was a little bit sad not to have enthusiastic and skilled - both with the cooking and with making his brain explode in tiny ways - assistants in the kitchen today, but Eliot was making do just fine. The busboy and the dishwasher apparently had themselves a tiny little three year old moppet - Eliot was firmly Not Asking - who happily made disgusted faces and noises any time she came over to watch the pancake- or egg-making process, so he at least had some extra kid-shaped entertainment today.
