Sam's visit was good. He arrived on the 11:20, we grabbed our bags and clambered on, after Simon had plonked Alex on the train and told him to follow Sam who he hadn't seen in over a year. The NCT lunch was great fun, if a little hectic. There were only 4 of us plus kids, and it was enough! Yesterday I didn't do much at all after I eventually got home from work. I finished Sarah's dress alterations in about 30 minutes, wrote up a possible ingredients list for Emi's Hand fasting Incense, then sat and watched Sliding Doors. Well, I'm done. I've carved the knife and the patera, and I have no white wash, so that will have to wait. I think if I paint with something more modern the stone will choke and spall if water gets under the paint, I know this from experience at Levisham. Mum and I went shopping on Saturday and got all the food for our picnic and most of it was on offer, so that saved us a fair bit. We then bought it back to Levisham and prepared it.
