Dad and mom were scheduled to fly to Denver tomorrow, see old friends, go to an event, etc.
Dad had apparently (unknown to me) been having some tooth/jaw aches, which he put down to the sinus infection that he had been being treated for.
it got worse, mom scheduled an emergency appt (11 am) with the dentist, who said "the tooth here is cracked down to the root, badly infected, we cannot save it, it has to be removed NOW" and gave them the options:
get it removed in Lancaster at the hospital, NOW in an emergency appt, where the doctors know all your health records and you have a short trip home to a community with full nursing staff........
or
fly with an infected tooth and gum to Denver, one mile up and major pressure issues, and go to an unknown dentist/hospital there and have it removed by tomorrow.
duh, mom had him in Lancaster General Hospital by afternoon.
so my schedule just got a bit... shaky.
Dad is probably fine (if a bit of a stubborn old coot) and mom is better off knowing he will be ok and knowing where help is (dad actually suggested she leave and fly on to Denver....... shya... riiiiiiight.)
and i may , or may not, be going out to bash him over the head with a bat visit.
so, is it just the men in MY life who act like this? or everyone's?
medical,
parents,
health,
men,
