I just got back from South Korea where I spent 16 months as an English teacher. I already want to turn back even though I have been "home" for about a week now. Are there any ex-expats here? That is people who moved somewhere, didn't like it, then moved home again (or elsewhere)?

I am a long term expat. I'm not a student, I'm not doing an internship, I'm not here for a year or two -- though at one time or another all of those would have applied to me. How long after you re-patriate did your homesickness for the new county go away-- if that makes any sense. I'm back in Canada but even a year later i'm sooo "homesick" that I don't know how much longer i can put up with it. Maybe a visit would help but it's so expensive to go to the otherside of the world just for a visit.
