Adam and I have simultaneously contracted what I hope is a 24hr stomach virus. He skipped dinner last night feeling a little off and in the middle of the night woke up so quickly and vomited so violently that he woke the entire house. I assume that good health is the norm. I assume that if I'm sick with so much as a cold more than 2 or 3 times in a year that something is wrong. Is getting sick more often par for the course when sleep deprived and parent to a toddler? I'm guessing yes, but I am not going down peacefully. I'm in week....4? of being sick. A big part of the mold problem is our fault. I feel like a really awful tenant. I grew up in a place wetter than here, but all the housing is timber framed so the houses 'breathe,' whereas here it's all concrete, brick and plastic windows. We've been drying our laundry all around the house, not opening the windows enough, or heating the house ( Read more... )

I'm starting to get freaked out. Now that I'm pulling things away from the walls and looking down at the trim, I see it everywhere. The spots in the corners are worse than I realized.
