Afternoon delight(s)
Both books 3 and 6 of the Lymond Chronicles came today in the mail. So now I have the whole series, and that makes me a very happy EMB. I was so desperate not to finish book 2 today that I even went out to lunch this afternoon, instead of sitting at my desk reading, as I have done for the past couple weeks.
Even better is the fact that it could be July -- there are massive thunderstorms and rain all over the place. (Although sadly not at my house.) This is good. Very, very good. We are in a serious drought here and the rain is very badly needed. Just this weekend there was a big brush fire at the Nature Center in town and they had to evacuate everyone, including the animals.
So even if I don't get a drop of rain, I am happy. Because this means the summer seabreezes are finally bringing enough moisture with them that we are approaching our rainy season. It's about time, is all I can say.
