The view from my front door right now. It's very dark, pretty windy, and the skies are about to open up. The center of the storm will be on shore in about an hour, pretty far north of me, but there is a heavy rain band moving on shore in my area. There was even a tornado warning issued about half an hour ago.

Hurricane season has been fairly uneventful so far...but now Tropical Depression 9 has my attention.

So far this year I haven't done my annual shopping for hurricane supplies. I'm thinking I need to do that. Even if this storm doesn't come near Florida, it's far past time I got my kit ready.

Three days of non-stop rain continues - and will continue after today - thanks to Tropical Storm Debby. The storm is forecast to move away from my area, but until then, we are going to get a lot of rain.

Truth be told, this is good. My area of the state is in drought conditions and we badly need the rain. On the other hand, enough is enough!

Stepped on the scale this morning and the needle was at a number I've not seen in probably 8 years. Yay!!

My Avengers Big Bang story continues to kill me. I've already called my beta up once, crying, claiming I can't do this, I can't do this, no really, I can't. And then hung up the phone, gotten my act together, and sat down and wrote some more ( Read more... )
