In a bit of a change from the trend, I'm not going to post any snow photos today. Instead here's two photos of a beautiful sunset I watched from crickley hill back before christmas. I completely forgot about them until just now.

Saturday was J's nirthday, so we had a family trip to West Midlands Safari Park. It was fascinating seeing the animals, especially the wolves, they've always been my favourite. :) I did take my camera, but I was designated driver around the safari section and it's bloody difficult to drive and take photos, but I got a few ok ones.

Awesome holiday, I LOVE Rome, it's amazing! So very tired though, everything aches! The first day we were up for around 16 hours in all, with all the daylight hours being beautiful cloudless blue skies with bright sun. On Saturday I enjoyed a rather wonderful mid-winter feast prepared by kissycat1000. HUGE meal, cooked perfectly, utterly delicious! Later on, we were going to go along to Westonbirt for the "enchanted walk", but it had started raining so most of us decided to stay home instead. Once the others got back, there was pudding. Last night we saw the Real-D (3D) edition of Beowulf at the local cinema. I loved it, like SO much! The 3D is totally amazing, and makes some of the set pieces and action sequences astounding (the dragon battle had me sat open-mouthed in fascination).
