MONGOLIAN HONEY-SESAME LAMB
Serves 4
8 lamb chops, trimmed
3 tablespoons light soy sauce
2-3 cloves garlic, crushed
2-3 teaspoon dry sherry
2 tablespoons honey
Pinch of five-spice powder
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Combine ingredients except lamb in a bowl, mix well. Place lamb in a shallow dish, add the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for several hours, or - better - overnight so flavors can mix. To finish, preheat oven to 350F. Place lamb on a wire rack over a baking dish. Bake 35 minutes or until tender, repeatedly brushing it with the marinade. Serve with rice.
