I just auditioned for Vagina Monologues.  I think it went really well.  I decided to be brave and auditioned on The Woman Who likes to Make Vaginas Happy (that's the moaning one).  It was a cold reading, and I just made up the moans on the spot, but I think I did ok.  They laughed, which I think is a good sign.  I can't wait till call-back lists ( Read more... )

Rehearsals are going well.  We finally have a set, and lights, and a curtain, and most of the costumes.  Tonight went really well, (except for when we skipped the wedding scene by accident.... lets just not talk about that).  We're still running at almost 3 hours, so hopefully that will be better tomorrow once we are used to the curtain and ( Read more... )

Rugby party was very fun.  There was much booze and music and dancing.  There were also drunk ruggers attempting to do a line out lift, and at one point we set up two scrums and went at each other.  I played prop, the one and only time I will ever be a forward.  We also sang Chicago at one point, amusement for all the non-ruggers in attendance.  I ( Read more... )

SPT party last night was fabulously fun.  Wink is the best game ever.  Despite my frequent frustration with rehearsals taking over my life, I really do love SPT.  And I think I may be roped into auditioning for a show every semester while I'm at Bryn Mawr.  Next semester its Twelfth Night directed by Mari so I have to audition for that.  Then fall ( Read more... )

Rehearsal tonight was fun. I'm very glad about this, because rehearsal has been rather frustrating the last couple of weeks. Every show has that period where nothing seems to be working and rehearsals stop being fun (not surprisingly, this almost always corresponds exactly with going off book...) but anyway, I think R&J is coming out of that bad ( Read more... )
