The rugby game against drexel was great. We won, 40-0. Nancy played great; I got to play against her for a little while in B-side. Then she stuck around and came to our social. We invited the whole drexel team, but they decided it would be too much hassle to take the train out. I dragged Nancy along anyway. There was socialing and singing at Haverford, then we came back to bryn mawr and went to a power hour in Radnor. Oddly enough, I think this is the first time I've ever been to a party in Radnor, other then my brief visit to Radnor Halloween freshman year. It was fun, mostly because pretty much the entire party were ruggers and a few other friends of amy's (she threw the party). Besides, I got to play with her adorable kitten. Of course there's no kitten in Radnor. What are you talking about, that would be against the rules.
Needless to say, I got quite drunk. But not as drunk as last week. I stayed in control this time, and had very much fun. I'm very glad Nancy is enjoying rugby, and had fun hanging out with my team.
Rugby as a whole is going amazingly well this season. We're still undefeated, and I'd really like to see us go to nationals again.
Caer Bryn LARP info session today went well too. We only had four players show up, but I'm pretty sure all of them are going to come back, and there's a few more on campus we hope to recruit. That crowd combined with all the off campus folks should be a decent sized game.
On a different note, academics
I know it's kind of sad when I'm upset at a 3.7 on a paper. I know I shouldn't complain, and that this is just one more example of me being an obsessive perfectionist again, but I feel like in Phil 101 I should be able to get the 4.0 without even trying. This was a paper that I did all the reading for, spent a long time writing, and felt really good about when I turned it in. I expected the 4.0, and I'm counting on a 4.0 in this class to help my GPA. Even if I end up taking physics credit/no credit, I still have a really hard semester and I need something to balance out the slacking I did last semester if I want to get into grad school.
