There's a new fiction magazine for you gluttons of SF: Clarkesworld Magazine. There's not a ton of info available yet, but Emerald City is reporting that it will take two authors per issue, an established pro and a newcomer. The Southeaster Science Fiction Awards were given out this past weekend at TrinocCon in Raleigh, NC. Winners were:
- Lifetime Achievement: Jack McDevitt
- Best Novel of 2005: Seeker by Jack McDevitt (Ace)
- Best Short Fiction of 2005 - "Bears Discover Smut" by Michael Bishop
