There's a new fiction magazine for you gluttons of SF: Clarkesworld Magazine. There's not a ton of info available yet, but Emerald City is reporting that it will take two authors per issue, an established pro and a newcomer. The magazine will be available both online for free and in a limited edition chapbook for sale.

More free SF! This week Boingboing reported that David Dean's blog was collecting excellent places to find drm-free SF. Thanks to the several people who mentioned Escape Pod and the other podcast fiction.

Not free, but probably well worth the purchase price: Julie Phillips' biography James Tiptree, Jr.: The Double Life of Alice B. Sheldon is getting a ton of buzz, and not only in the SF circles.
