My corner of the world is experiencing very cold temperatures and a freezing fog, with the result being that all the trees and rooftops are very finely iced with silvery white.

Also, a couple of evenings ago, I was leaving work and there was a great horned owl sitting on the library roof, surveying the campus.

There may be magic afoot.

Our snow may be sticking around for a while, about which I'm very happy. The freezing weather has stuck a great deal of snow and ice to the trees in town, which is startlingly beautiful, especially now that we have sunlight to make the branches sparkle, but probably isn't especially good for the trees.
