Our snow may be sticking around for a while, about which I'm very happy. The freezing weather has stuck a great deal of snow and ice to the trees in town, which is startlingly beautiful, especially now that we have sunlight to make the branches sparkle, but probably isn't especially good for the trees. Yesterday I went for a walk with the camera, and got a few very pretty snow shots, but none of them quite captures the Snow Queen's Palace aspect of the ice and snow.
The freeze has stopped the leak in our kitchen and our landlords re-tarred the roof yesterday to stop (hopefully) the leak they found in the roof, but they think we'll need a new roof before the year is out. I'm impressed by their responsiveness and apprehensive about coming construction.
Bird feeders remain very popular, and the squirrels are still enjoying their raw peanuts.
