Do any of you remember the old Jiminy Cricket shorts they used to show on the Disney Channel, featuring the famous Cricket walking down a row of books and then proceeding to tell you a lot of useful facts?

I think it was called "I'm No Fool," and at the end he would sing the song.

I just received word that Lloyd Alexander, my favorite author as a child if not my favorite of all time, passed away Thursday.
