I was just hit with an e-mail from Amazon that The Monster Squad is finally being released on DVD!
A movie I loathed as a child, most likely from the incessant viewing by my brother, it somehow has become iconic of my childhood. Such choice lines as the one on the subject line became irrevocably lodged in my skull, causing me to google them nostalgically at random times, and discover that the film has attracted something of a cult following among other children of the 80s. The pressure from the masses has finally prevailed, and they're releasing what should be a sweet two-disc edition!
Did my required reading of Plato, and was completely wowed by his brilliance. Now to quickly whip out a response, before I'm further distracted.
