Yesterday, rt_hon_rackman and I had a day out with no kids. For a mere $100, we had about four hours without them; Gillian went to an event at her gymnastics school, and we dropped off Elliot with Gillian's teacher. Just got back from the Magic Kingdom. Some relatives on rt_hon_rackman's side of the family are in town, and we've been spending time with them at Disney. They had a steep learning curve, figuring out how to "work" the parks, but this last day they really got the hang of it, and everyone had a good time. The Hall of Presidents is not the most exciting attraction at the Magic Kingdom, but you can bet I'll go see it when they have an audio-animatronic President Obama. I want to hear Calvin Coolidge shout "Testify!" after the Obama-bot does his speech.

It is hard to get in the autumnal spirit here in Florida, since we are really entering the "pleasant summer" season, coming off "assy hot." However, it is cooling down, and we have had cloudy, rainy weather lately. I made pumpkin pie, and rt_hon_rackman made a terrific beef stew. The pumpkin patch has appeared at Elliot's school. So I get on LJ today to be good and finally post something, but I got distracted by all the Disney smut and Doctor Who smut on my friends page. Dammit, you guys. You have to stop posting about such yummy and amusing offensive material. Let's say you try to cut down by 50% by 2050, just like carbon emissions. That seems fair.

It’s nice to score a direct hit with a Christmas present, and rt_hon_rackman and I managed to do it this year.
