Good Neighbours

Well, things are going a bit better so far today.

We're getting low on hay, so I have arranged to have the neighbour who rents our land bring over a large round bale.  He says it will take him a day or so, but he'll dig out a good one for us.  (Horses need clean, dry hay.  The cattle can eat almost anything without it bothering them, but horses are touchy.)

A customer came in to pick up some engine parts this afternoon, and we were chatting about farm machines and the like.  The conversation got around to swathers, and when I mentioned that I had an old Versatile 400, he said that he had four of them over the years, two of which were still running.  He's willing to help me get mine into shape again, which will really be a big help!
