Plugging the numbers...

Little by little, I'm getting the data plugged into the accounting software to see how we did in 2010.  I've just finished entering the information for my primary vendors for Iron Pony.  I had to enter that first, since that shows where all my inventory comes from - Pretty hard to make out a bill for someone if you don't have the inventory records!  I've got until Thursday to get all the information entered, as I have to file the PST reports (and the LCT for the bowling-alley) by the 20th.  fun fun fun...

Dwayne brought over a large round hay-bale yesterday, and I opened it today.  That's not too bad really - I opened the previous bale on December 19th, so that's almost a month from a single bale, and I know we've been over-feeding the little hay-burners.  Dwayne had given us the last two bales for free (even though I did offer to pay for them!) but this time he asked for $40 for the bale.  That's pretty reasonable in my books, given that I was paying $5 a bale for the small squares, and there's a lot more than 8 (8x5 = 40) small squares in a round-bale!  When you consider that he's only charging me $40 for a bale, and delivering it, I think I'm getting a very good deal!  This bale seems a little bigger than the last one, so we'll have to see how long it lasts.

It's snowing again...  It's been snowing all week, and the drifts are getting higher and higher.  Some of the drifts here are more than 4' deep, and the snow in most of the yard is knee-high in places!  At least the clouds broke up for a little while this afternoon, and I got to see the sun for a bit before the clouds regrouped and started dumping snow again.  It's pretty, but I've really had enough of it already.  :P
