Recently, Thunder has been bucking under saddle.  Pretty much only at the canter.  He is okay (for thunder - he's never good, but he's okay) at the walk and trot.  But, recently (within the past 2 weeks, maybe 5 rides) he has been bucking at the canter.  We have rubbed along his back/legs/etc and nothing feels out of the ordinary, tense, etc, and ( Read more... )

I've come to the conclusion there's something wrong with the way I'm riding. It seems every horse I get on tries to buck me off! With the exception of my friend's pony Blaze, and the IHSA pony Tinkerbell (who I just got lucky with as she bucked her 7 year old owner off a few weeks later and broke her ankle..poor kid), the horses are OBVIOUSLY ( Read more... )
