I've been working so much on my seminar paper that is due on Friday. The good news is that I have 10 pages done. The bad news is that I have about 10-15 pages to go. I so hate Mondays. I sit in class feeling inadequate and a crappy law student because I don't care. The student giving his presentation today has found old case files for a case that his lawyer did. Giant paper. Working non-stop all week. Actually had to ask for a modified extension (will submit paper on time, but will resumbit with all the correct formatting, pictures, and proper citations later). Now I am slowly going insane. Have had very little sleep.

But the birthday breakfast for our professor in class this morning is helping.

I hate being sick. It started with a bad sore throat on Monday as I was busting my ass to get my presentation together for Tuesday. The presentation went alright, but not great. I have my oral argument in a couple hours. I feel nervous about it. I think I'm prepared, but it's one of those things where I could always be more prepared. I'm also not sure about some of the technical stuff. Like I'm pretty sure that the Appellant goes first but what if I'm wrong. I shouldn't get worked up about it. I need to work on my paper and prepare for my oral argument tomorrow. I just suck at getting down to work. It's all coming along very slowly.

And I have the feeling that I am going to eat the rest of my container of cashews today. I'll call it lunch,

I believe in tomorrow. Tomorrow will be a good day. Tomorrow I will get everything done. Tomorrow I will be confident, competent, and productive. Tomorrow I will make over my life and turn a new leaf. Tomorrow I will make phone calls, send emails and impress people.

It's just a pity I couldn't do that today.

I can't seem to get to work. I know this isn't anything special or new but sucks nonetheless. I think it's because everytime I think I have a good handle on the material, I learn I'm wrong. I think taking the legal history seminar was a good thing. The best part is that it is not a normal law school class. Yesterday we went on a "field trip" to the City Archives, which is in this non-descript warehouse by Druid Hill Park. This class has 5 students and 3 professors. Pretty good ratio there isn't it?
