So. I have an old car. It goes through a lot of oil, and it's an automatic, so I bought slightly-better-than-usual oil for it. Having emptied two litres into the sump over the course of two months, I went to buy another bottle.
And discovered I've been putting diesel oil in my petrol car.
Yes, before you ask, it does say "Diesel" on it in big letters.
Sigh.
Himself made a horrified face when I told him. But the car's still going, so presumably it's not too much of an issue. Really, though, sometimes I think it's a wonder I've made it to my (relatively) ripe age without losing a limb or something.
